So, it has been awhile. So here is the brief update. :)

March 2nd 2012 (a little over 10 months old)

A day in the life of: Weston has been waking up around 5:30-6:00am.  Rob and I try to let him play as long as we can in the crib before we get up.  Which is usually around 6:30am.  Either Rob or I will get up and play with him until 7-7:30 when we feed him his first bottle. After that, Wes will enjoy some pureed solids.  In the meantime, I am feeding dogs and downing some needed coffee. (black with a little cream)  Dad has left for work by this point and Wes and I are ready to seek our first adventure.  We open the front door to feel how cold it is and lately, it's been cold.  Playtime varies from indoor play, outside play or a field trip. (mall play area, arboretum, etc) Nap time is around 9-10am.  Wes can sleep anywhere around 1 hour to 1 hour 30 minutes. Around 11-11:30, Wes has is noon bottle followed with a meal.  After lunch, Weston continues entertaining his curiosity and roams the house.  He bounces from one room to the next.  He has discovered the stairs and loves to climb them over and over.  He has become really fast, especially with a little motivation. (seeing the cat at the top)Nap two is around 2-3pm and can last up to 2 hours.   Before you know it, Bottle number 3 is around 4pm.  His dinner is around 5pm.  He will usually scoot around in his walker so I can cook dinner.  (usually)  Daddy gets home around 6:30 and this is perfect timing for bath time.  He loves bath time. 7:30 is when he starts rubbing his eyes and we pull out the baby Einstein DVD/books.  Finally, last bottle around 8pm and off to bed. Phew.

Sleeping: Weston is doing a great job sleeping through the night.  He gets around 10 hours of sleep a night plus two naps during the day.  They range from one hour to two hours.  He goes to bed around 7:30-8:30 and wakes around 6am.

Feeding:  He takes roughly 4 bottles but on days he goes to MDO, he gets 5. He eats on most days 3 solid meals.  Weston accepts most pureed foods but still is picky with textures.  I have tried most Gerber products, cheerios, muffins, bread, banana, celery... and NOT interested!  I have found he will try a waffle. Yeah for waffles.  I need to try blueberries. Maybe tonight.

Learning: Can pull self up and transfer weight from one object to the next.  He has learn to say MAMA! and we are working on dada. He is really understanding cause and effect with his toys. (which has been happening for awhile now.)  Example, placing ball on top of a toy to watch it roll down. (over and over) :)

Sad moments: His moments of trail and error.  Standing and falling followed by crying. :(  Also, he had his first encounter with a pushy older women.  He was at MDO and a older girl (~13-14 months old) wanted the same toy as him and she keep on pushing him to have it.  Though it was sad to watch him experience this and eventually cry.  I was proud of him.  He was standing his ground and hold the girl back and holding onto the toy.
